Vine Centre for Advocacy International (VICAI) is a Uganda-based advocacy and policy firm dedicated to advancing social justice, inclusive development, accountable leadership, and democratic governance. The Centre works with vulnerable and marginalized communities, public institutions, civil society organizations, development partners, and citizens to influence policies, strengthen leadership capacities, and promote responsive governance systems.
VICAI utilizes evidence-based advocacy, policy engagement, leadership development, community mobilization, strategic communications, and creative arts approaches to raise awareness, amplify citizen voices, and drive sustainable social transformation. Creative arts—including poetry, music, storytelling, and performance—are employed as advocacy tools to communicate complex social issues, foster public dialogue, and promote civic participation.
Established in 2019 and fully registered in 2022 under the laws of Uganda in accordance with the Companies Act, 2012 and the Uganda Registration Services Act, 2016, VCAI operates from Kampala, Uganda and continues to build national and international partnerships that advance its mission and impact.
