Mama Said Community Outreach — Hygiene-Responsive Living & Maternal Empowerment

As a core component of the Mama Said project, VICAI conducted a targeted community empowerment outreach in Katanga, Kampala, focusing on young and expectant mothers. The initiative was designed to build local capacity around hygiene-responsive living, maternal wellbeing, and household health standards within informal urban settlements.

Combining practical demonstrations, awareness sessions, and psychosocial support, the outreach provided young mothers with both essential maternal care kits and actionable knowledge to promote healthier living environments for themselves and their infants.
