As part of our regional policy advocacy efforts, VICAI contributed a featured article to the official newsletter of the Committee for the Prevention of Torture in Africa (CPTA), published by the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights (ACHPR). Focusing on Uganda as a key case study, the article underscores the critical necessity of capacity building and systematic training for institutional stakeholders to effectively prevent torture and protect human rights across the continent.
